is looking for a dedicated Base Area Supervisor with at least one
(1) year of experience with landscape maintenance and snow removal
with supervisory experience required. - - - - - - - - - - - -
Detailed job description, including responsibilities, work
performed, tools or equipment used, etc.:
- Hiring & evaluating snow removal staff
- Scheduling of snow removal staff
- Snow removal from all pedestrian traffic areas. -Including
placement of ice melt and scoria. -
- Snow removal from Base Area vehicular areas in conjunction with

- Responsible for safety of company owned pedestrian/vehicular

- Responsible for ordering & inventory of department's supplies
and equipment as it relates to snow removal and grounds
maintenance.

- Special Event Operations set up and tear down - Minimum skills,
experience, education and ability required for this job:
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Must have a minimum of 1 year experience doing landscape
maintenance or snow removal operations
- Must operate mowers, weed wackers, heavy equipment ie.
Forklift, skid steer, etc.
- Prior supervisory experience preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Work, Excel, and
Outlook)
- Ability to interact and maintain positive relationships with
guests, co-workers and management consistent with SSRC's Service
Excellence standards. -
- Ability to problem-solve in a highly effective manner and
maintain positive relationships with guests and staff, including
management, subordinates and co-workers. -
- Ability to be a consistent role model for company's Service
Excellence standards
- A working knowledge of SSRC Departments. A working knowledge of
day to day Base Area Operations. - Outdoor construction experience
and applicable organizational skills as related to equipment use

- - - - - - - - Physical Requirements:
- Some snow removal, lifting up to 50lbs.
- Must be able to withstand long periods of standing, walking,
shoveling, and strong physical work.
- Early morning hours at times - as early as 4:00 a.m.,
occasionally 14 hour days.
- Working in cold, wet, dark, conditions
- Must meet SSRC minimum driving standards and have current
Driver's license; a successful motor vehicle record background
check is required.
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age. Miscellaneous
information:
- This is an hourly, non exempt position subject to overtime
- May be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays as
needed
- This position is contingent upon the successful completion of a
background check Hourly Range: The base hourly pay range below
represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort
Corporation hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will
vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors
including but not limited to experience, education, training,
location, merit system, quantity or quality of production,
responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range
listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort
Corporation's total compensation package for employees. Other
rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many
region-specific benefits. Steamboat area base hourly pay range:
