Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN with at least 2 years of
experience, a WY or compact RN license, and BLS and PALS
certifications for a night shift assignment. Responsibilities -
Position is in a Med/Surg unit with 20 rooms and 35 beds - Nurse to
patient ratio is 1:5, occasionally 1:6 for emergent surgeries -
Work schedule is 12-hour night shifts with weekends required -
On-call may be necessary during low census periods - Floating
required to ER, post partum, and stepdown units to assist as
needed, no full patient load in these departments - Utilizes Alaris
IV pumps, Hill-rom beds and call system, Kangaroo pumps, and
Quadramed Pyxis medication system - No specific scrub color
required for dress code - Orientation includes HR and education
day, restraint training, and one shift shadowing - Required to
provide care for Med/Surg patients of all ages - Facility accepts
local travelers within any radius with no change in pay rate -
Facility may call off up to 24 hours per 13-week contract
Requirements - Active WY or compact RN license - Current BLS and
PALS certifications required - Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg
