Provides coordination and support for clinical and managerial processes in the Chest Pain Center and Stroke receiving centerAssists and recommends protocols and guidelines for best practice treatment of cardiac and stroke patients across the continuum of careOversees the tracking process for data related to cardiac and stroke patients and provides data to the Chest Pain and Stroke Committee to initiate changes as appropriate and to improve outcomesChair the Chest Pain and Stroke CommitteeWork in with the Chest Pain Medical Director to assure continuity in care of all cardiac patients and quality outcomes. Works directly with the ED Director to assure continuity in care of all stroke patients and quality outcomes. Works closely with Emergency Medical Services to assure optimal continuity of care, from pre-hospital to hospital. Works closely with the quality coordinator to assure metrics are in place to show continuous improvement in the care of the ACS and stroke patient and for CMS data reporting, as well as other registry dataEducates nursing, ancillary staff on best practices in the treatment of ACS, stoke, and AMI patients and changes regarding chest pain accreditation. Actively involved in educating others regarding the care of the ACS and stroke patient Act as a resource internally and in the community regarding educating others about the ACS and stroke patientRepresents the hospital at a local, regional, and national level related to best practices for ACS and stroke patients. Involved with the American College of Cardiology Accreditation Services and Stroke receiving center ProvidersMinimum Qualifications:
